- Summary: Will I be burned buying a Telebit modem?

- Greetings, all...
-
- I've been considering a high-quality 28.8 modem for personal use, and
- had planned on a Telebit Teleblazer since I use a Worldblazer now with
- generally good results. However, trying to find someone to sell a
- Telebit to an individual was surprisingly hard -- you won't see them
- listed in the index of "Computer Shopper" at all!
-
- I finally found someone that'll sell me one, but given how hard it was,
- I've gotten cold feet. So: is Telebit giving up on modems to sell only
- netblazers and overpriced isdn stuff? Are they still any good? Are
- there better choices for good, commercial-quality standalone 28.8 modems
- for under $500?
-
- (I'm not interested in a glue-n-go specials or cheap junk. I'm certainly
- not interested in usr for any reason at any price.)
-
- Thanks in advance for any answers!
-
- Regards,
-
